I am setting-up/deploying Apache Answer. Can we disable sending to Activation Email on Signup and making the user directly active?

Yes, you have to activate it to use it. Otherwise, it can lead to malicious mass user registration and usage. If you use a third-party login, and the email information can be provided under the third-party login, then you don’t have to activate it.
